> You know who isn’t going to do all of this to get a permit? And who isn’t going to worry about where it’s legal to carry? Criminals.
This fucking argument is tired and hollow. I’m surprised they didn’t spout off some copy-paste bullshit about mental health. I though that was the new scapegoat.
How is advocacy group (regardless of your feelings on the matter) suing the government for passing laws that go against the thing they’re advocating for the least bit onion-y?
GOP is really playing both sides here. Decrease federal regulation and give more power to the states – except when a state passes a law we don’t agree with.
Are they suing on behalf of someone or as themselves? I wouldn’t think the NRA would have standing. This legislation doesn’t prevent people from becoming NRA members.
What a country we live in with our new Supreme Court, and they really mean that “Supreme part.”
Gun Control: State legislature and governor cannot do that without our agreement.
Election Results: We think that maybe the State legislatures and just thought out the votes and assign a winner. Nobody else should have any say in that.

One of the most dishonest organizations in the US is the NRA.

I’m not familiar with how these lawsuits proceed, but from the article, it appears that the NRA is suing the Governor directly. Is this the norm?
I would have thought that suing the state government directly would be the appropriate course of action for such a lawsuit.

Anyone who says that the legislation is about safety is lying.
