iPhone X FaceID under an IR camera
whereami1928: *on iOS 11.
Bionictoe: This works everywhere. Not just US. Very useful feature
lordpetts: Works in the UK – just tried it and didn’t have to enable anything.
Gienbfu: It also makes it so that you have to use your numeric passcode before any biometric ways of unlocking your phone will work (face id or touch id) so people can’t just hold your phone up to your face or your thumb.
greenpinkie: Not very discreet, makes a loud squeal and vibrates. Also automatically places the call, doesn’t bring up an option to!
zacharyangrk: This works in any country, as long as you’re on iOS 11!
greenking2000: It also disables touchID
SixZoSeven: Did you learn about this from the RT Podcast?
DontOpenTilXmas: Wow that’s great.
ollie_b_93: I just tried it. Worked. But mine was discrete. It sounded off an alarm.
hitandrun7: Droid also has a similar feature, and sends a vid/sound recording from front & rear cameras to your emergency contacts, too.
candi923: It also works on Android. It voice records, and takes pictures with the front and back cameras.
ColbyTheSadDog: You should also know that this is an optional feature you have to enable before you can use
