Once, my grandma mistakenly believed that her BIL needed assistance when she unlocked her door in the middle of the night. A guy who was intoxicated attempted to break into her home. When she was able to push him outside, she locked the door before returning to her bed? We thought, “WTF!” Why didn’t you call the police? perhaps even us? He wasn’t dangerous; he was just inebriated, she said.
