You’d think if this issue was flagged in 2021 that something would have been done immediately to change the design because I don’t see Spain increasing the size of the tunnels. Is this story not complete or did someone truly screw up so much that everything stayed the course until 2023???
South Africa bought locomotives that are too high for their tunnels. Guess from which country those locomotives were purchased?

So did they actually spend 258m on this? Because it sounds like it was just in the design phase still. I’m sure this will cost them a lot of money, but are we sure on that 258m figure? Because that sounds more like what it would have cost to actually build and deliver 30 or so trains.
