I understand forgetting you have earrings in or forgot a ring on your finger – but a big ass gun? You didn’t notice that 5 pounds of metal in you pocket?
They typically have you disrobe and put on hospital gown anyway. There are some fabrics that even affect the MRI. They always ask if I’m wearing a bra or have “hidden” piercings.
But dude was like ‘hmm, gun prob fine’
Source – had 2 MRIs in the past 2 months at separate locations. They both did this.
i’m actually a little curious about the mechanics of this
>When the machine was turned on, the magnetic force pulled de Novaes’ gun from his waistband and it discharged, the bullet striking him in the abdomen.
i get the magnet is strong enough to pull the gun out of his pants (giggity) but how exactly did the weapon discharge?
(incidentally, here’s yet another example of why not keeping a round chambered is maybe the best way)

I never understood why they trust people to know if they have metal on them. Put them through a metal detector or wand them.
