All he did on Monday to make his “prediction” was call some folks with knowledge on the sub design. Once he repeated what they told him, it was obvious that the sub had imploded. It was the only logical conclusion. He figured it out on Monday because he bothered to ask the questions. The answer was obvious at that point.
Which makes you wonder, who’s job is it to make phone calls and ask knowledgeable people. Surely not the reporters who wasted 4 days putting up an oxygen countdown.

To give the details, the sub had an independent transponder with its own power supply. It went silent at the same time as everything else. The only logical reason why is something went BOOM!
Then he called some people who run hydrophone networks they said they picked a BOOM at the time it went silent.
If James Cameron can ask questions on Monday and figure this out, why did it take every so-called journalist on the planet until Thursday to start asking questions?
Edit: Before people bring up that it’s an implosion, calling it a MOOB just doesn’t have the same impact. Also, I know from experience that catastrophic implosions also say “BOOM.”

Of course he did. Who would’ve expected less of this egotistical bollock. His prediction ranks right up there with his bloated Avatar movies.

I mean, I did too.

And I can predict the plotline of the next Avatar movie. Neither of has to put too much effort into our predictions, now do we.
