Debater3301: I KNEW I WAS GETTING RIPPED OFF
glennliebhardt: Kinda like the foot long Subway Sandwich
SEApdx87: Well yeah that’s why they leave off the second “f”
Graphitetshirt: THIS IS BULLSHIT, I’M CALLING MY CONGRESSMAN
hitrothetraveler: They use twice the material, but, for some reason, it only comes out with 1.86 of the material in matter.
tuctrohs: I would think this was bad if you were actually getting less food than advertised. But I’m not convinced that white paste is food anyway.
Thousand_Year_Stare: half gallon ice cream containers are now only 48oz, they made the carton have a sort of false bottom so they took up the same amount of space
benkenobi5: The other 0.14 is held in reserve to make oreo thins
Demderdemden: Take to the streets, grab your pitchfork from your friendly pitchforkmonger, and let us demand to be properly stuffed!
WhatDoesAFAIKMean: This is why I love the internet. Thank you, friend.
smp501: I’ve got some bad news about Subway’s Five Dollar Footlong.
Alomba87: Literally inedible.
grimskull1: I can’t believe you’ve done this
inaworldwithnonames: This will be on “unbelievable facts” on Facebook by morning
giverofnofucks: My life is a f–king lie.
toteskrotzkrotz: Uhmm, technically it’s Double Stuf, only one F.
jpj007: ***THOSE BASTARDS***
NoBillCosbyNo: I bet you’re fun at parties
Chalky_von_Schmidt: Am I the first one on here pedantic enough to point out that OP said “1.86x *more*”? That would equate to 286% stuffing, not 186% as I imagine OP intended to state…
Since we’re all nitpicking now… 😉
icantfindadangsn: So I know that this will get buried, but I had to post this.
I actually tutor a pair of young siblings and we decided to test this. What we did was take 20 double stuf oreos, weighed them, removed the cream (with a knife so that our saliva didn’t mess with the measurement), then reweighed. The difference we took as the weight of the cream. We did the same thing for regular oreos. The ratio of double stuf/regular was 2.09. To test significance, we doubled each weight of single stuff to “model” the expected double stuff oreo and then compared this sample to the actual double stuff. The double stuff was almost significantly larger than predicted by their single stuff model (t_19 = 0.95, p = 0.067).
In case anyone cares, here’s the data (in ounces, sorry for some reason the precision was better on my shitty scale in oz for some reason):

TL;DR: I tested this with some boys I tutor and we found that double stuf oreo contained 2.09x the cream as a regular oreo.
ARMOG1820: As an employee at a Nabisco plant that regularly works on oreo and operates equipment that manufactures/produces the products in the USA I can answer some of your questions. If, you know, you have any.
DownvoteDaemon:
This is why I have trust issues.
Coonanner: Gotta have a hook to sell ’em. Nobody’s buyin’ 1.86-Stuffed Oreos.
It’s like Nathan Arizona. Named his store Unpainted Arizona after himself. Turns out it’s not his real last name.
“Would you buy furniture at a store called Unpainted Huffhines?”
rollerdog11: We actually did a lab on this in Statistics today. They are not double stuffed indeed, but they are filled with significantly more frosting than the regular cookie by a margin of about 9.43 standard deviations from the mean.
Tm23246: Explain yourselves.
dingo_username: I KNEW IT
AS I CHILD THEY CALLED ME CRAZY AND SUGAR ADDICTED
But i knew…
hardestnuts: Those lying sons of bitches.
Selontidon: No one is interested but I prefer the biscuit part of Oreos and would way rather buy non-stuffed.
Need an Oreo eating partner to swap the cream half of mine for their plain. It could be the foundation of a beautiful relationship.
Spdrjay: Class action lawsuit!
