Banning the Bible, while boys start watching porn online at age 10, on average. BTW, most of the money being made from porn, is made with trafficked victims.
Without a substantial knowledge of the Bible, a person can’t be truly educated, because a great deal of the history of Western Civilisation, and our legal systems, is based on this Bible, the world’s most-read book.
The parts of the book which are violent or sexual are extremely little, and the sex is not graphic or titillating, like the porn or the movies the kids are watching.
The Bible is quite a read, and I don’t think we have to worry about impressionable children being influenced to immorality, and violence, which is what’s being insinuated. Some people must think it isn’t politically correct. The kids might be influenced to monogamy and traditional marriage. Imagine the horror.
Yahweh in the Bible is one of the most vile, violent, misogynistic, xenophobic, genocidal, unhunged and emotional psychopathic characters you can have in a book. Add to that he endorses slavery, including sex slavery and rape.
Tuco would be a more sane god than Yahweh.
Yeah, I don’t think kids should read the Bible until they are older and can pair historical reading with it to understand the context and general ignorance of people at that time.

I’m an atheist but no book should be banned.

In a way this is hilarious, but it illustrates the idiocy behind banning books

Vulgar and violent?
What part of instructions for killing gays, silencing women and owning people under the threat of eternal torture is violent or vulgar!?
Oh…
