>HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Republican-controlled Texas Senate has just passed a bill that would let Gov. Greg Abbott and his appointees overturn elections in Harris County. It comes in response to the 2022 mid-term elections last fall, in which Democrats performed better than expected.
The party that claimed there was election fraud ladies and gentlemen. I do think the lady doth protest too much.
I mean, gee golly, it sure does seem like the people pretending election fraud is a thing are engaging in a whole lot of election fraud.
Is Texas the only state to allow for this? I know I’m early 2021 a handful of red states were passing legislation that allowed for a single partisan official to overturn counties “suspected” or fraud. Also restricting early, mail in, and absentee voting.
>Middleton says Harris County is being targeted because “election officials failed to do the most basic thing – provide voters with enough paper ballots in some 16% of the polling places.
Glad to see some accountability for this kind of gross negligence. Our elections are too important to be left without oversight.

So, if Republicans don’t win, they’ll just overturn elections!?

Gee, Republicans really *don’t* believe in democracy, do they?? This is madness. It’s getting very very scary in this country.
