The British owned Japanese Operated, Polish Constructed, and Bahamas Port-of-Homed ship an Israeli oligarch owned company – Ray Shipping – which is registered in the Isle of Man – uses.
I’m 95% sure nobody knew it was even linked to Israel until they screamed about it.
> The ship’s so-called “attractions” include exploring the deck, taking selfies, and stepping on flags of the United States and Israel, while traditional Houthi songs play in the background to boost morale.
> “A large number of Yemenis arrive daily. Instead of going to parks and beaches, they now visit the Galaxy ship,” Sameer al-Rabit, the Houthi’s media officer, told Reuters.
Wtf??? I mean I know culture over there is a little different, but I can’t imagine telling your family “hey you know that family beach trip we were planning? Yeah, plans changed, instead we’re going to a stolen cargo ship so we can take selfies stepping on the U.S. and Israeli flags! A lot more fun right?”
I was about to say it was strange to being non-combatant visitors to a place that might come under attack by a military looking to seize the ship… but then I realized deterring that with civilians on board might be the point.
Meanwhile I’m chuckling at the fashion style on display here, especially the MF’er in Teva’s and a Murse. Maybe that’s where he stashes his extra ammo magazines.
