One interview talked about a violent crime where someone was seriously hurt and the person who talked to all involved got everyone to agree not to get revenge, but one guy who wasn’t present had his car damaged and they did a collection from the group who initiated the attack to repair the car. It’s very complicated social and emotional spaces and it’s great to read about it.
