Maybe we should allow for people to decide how they leave this planet and this wouldn’t happen?

This is sad not oniony. It’s sad it had to come to this because the legal system is still in the stone age.

My question is why wouldn’t he just shoot himself? Unless hes completely paralyzed already, I don’t understand this at all

Assisted suicide ought to be permitted. My grandmother overdosed on phenobarbital in an attempt to kill herself. She acknowledged that my grandfather should have entered a nursing home years ago (he had parkinsons). Realizing it was too late, she made the decision to end it. Too bad when he was awake, my grandfather dialled 911. Her levels could be brought down, but her heart gave out.

    terrible way to pass away.

That’s a “ride or die” chick right there. If only we could all be so lucky

You’d think there would be better, less disruptive, and safer ways in a hospital to hasten someone’s death than with a gun.

    Sadly, it’s come to this.

Breaks my heart that she had to go to such lengths.

Nothing like watching your loved one suffer, while you stack up debt you’ll never be able to repay.

It’s the new insurance program. Double suicide.

When it comes to animals it’s “the kindest thing to do” but the same doesn’t apply to humans.
