That fox “””news””” submissions don’t go straight to the sub gas chamber after all the bullshit and bad-faith posting involving them just shows how utterly worthless the mods are.
I have celiac disease and I would be super thankful if a place alerted me to accidentally selling me a gluten-containing product. It could save someone’s guts a world of hurt!
The stomach cramps from eating it can be incredibly severe. I remember many nights of my mom doubled over in pain in the hallway outside the bathroom (before knowing about her celiac/Hashimoto’s), fingers all contorted in pain. Just weeping and groaning or crying out.
When it was at it’s worst, she would be so sick on the drive home from a meal that she would be crying, hunched over the steering wheel, that she couldn’t drive the vehicle back. It was incredibly brutal.
That’s when she realized the link between any sort of amount of gluten (among many other foods) and the triggered response from her body.
Obviously not everyone’s reaction is so severe but I’m sure there are people who have worse reactions than that. For the company to have put out an alert, I feel like there must be some personal experience with people who have celiac.

I want to know more, but I don’t want to feed the fox news trolls.

Imagine if FOX gave this much attention to an AK-47 being sold to a crazy person

Don’t worry about it, most of the people who say they are “gluten free” don’t even know what gluten is.

That’s kind and considerate of them.

I’ve been to Dutch monkey donuts. They are amazing people and have delicious donuts.

While I’d like to know the statistical chances of any donut I purchase remaining uneaten a few hours later. I would assume it approaches zero.

Good for them. I’m allergic to wheat protein, and if I ate a whole doughnuts worth I’d be seriously ill for a couple of weeks.
