    >The couple urged everyone to check their receipts

Um, yeah. Normal people do every time…

“Possible human error”. Way to come clean, Starbucks!

    >Jesse O’Dell said he contacted the Starbucks district manager regarding the incident and was told that there was an issue with the network.

Yeah. A network issue that allows everything about the operation to work perfectly but modifies one single parameter in such a way that the transaction went through.

Also, who the fuck sends cheque refunds that you need to wait for and cash in personally instead of a direct to card one?

Just when I thought my opinion of Starbucks couldn’t get any lower.

Do people not look at the machine before paying?

Mistakes happen, and employees sometimes do things on purpose. Sucks, but it’s pretty easily taken care of. But how the hell do you send them checks that bounce? That’s insanely incompetent. And then to not fix it immediately?

You’ve got to watch that extra syrup. It adds up!

This is why they always read out the price aloud here. So crap like this doesn’t happen. Same with the change too.
Also why can’t they just do a negative charge on the card? I have not seen checks in more than 15 years.

Starbucks and Avacado toast is what puts you in poverty!

Checks in the mail? What year is it? America is always so archaic with payment options.

  10. TaserLord says

That’s the new tipping culture. The options start at 8,000%, but that’s for substandard service.
