Do they need to put her back?

“Xie reportedly offered him $10,000 as a rescue fee, which the guide accepted.”
Even though she agreed to pay $4,000, Xie needs to pay the Sherpa (guide), not the woman who was rescued.

Better Title Rich asshole decides her inconveniencing a trained paid team is not worth billing her. I say just collect her and put her back up there.

should just transport her back there and let her escape all by herself this time.

They did a noble thing. But if you offer an inducement while the injured party is unconscious, you have to be prepared to foot the bill yourself. It sounds like she paid what she could afford of the $10,000. Attacking her over this is bonkers.

If I was rich enough for a “Grand Everest Adventure ^(tm”) and was saved by a Sherpa, I would be dumping money on that dude. Here’s enough so you never have work another day in your life, you saved the only life I have.
