Texas is the most piss ass backwater garbage state and a stain on this nation. We should have let Santa Anna march all over it and then maybe taken it into the Union. Ungrateful ignorant bullies.

This is just another case of the cops attacking people for imagined insults or perceived disrespect. There is no reason to attack a noncombative person and in many cases, there is no reason to attack even a combative one. I worked 20 year on psych units so I’ve been, bit, punched, and kicked. I never once assaulted a patient and no one that I work with did either. The police need to be charged and fired when they attack people for no reason like this.

Wow, she, and her family should sue both the airline, and Austin police.

I read through it again, and the airline that she was flying on, and which called the police on her, is not named. Why?

  12. Dominantpants says

It’s Jesus. This wasn’t a miscommunication; rather, it was a complete failure on the part of everyone in authority, from the airline staff to the police, to even make an effort to speak with the woman.

    This is terrifying.

I just read the whole article and still have no idea what she was arrested for…. Can someone please ELI5?

How the heck can you charge a connecting traveler with trespassing? And is it in any way appropriate to arrest anyone, esp. An older person hard of hearing, for that. And jailed for three days? This story is incredible.
