This is a great idea. I think the accessibility angle makes a lot of sense, both because it’s true and because it undercuts criticism by directors and sound designers about disrespecting their vision.
Who else fluctuates the volume while watching a movie at night while their children are asleep? All of a sudden loud action scenes! The actors may be heard whispering to one another over the soundtrack as it becomes quiet again.

Modern video games usually have separate sliders for Dialogue, Sound Effects, and Music.
That lets the player set them all at the level they want.
Streaming tech is a dinosaur in comparison.
