Ah, CNN, you do occasionally like to remind us of your anti-worker sensibilities.
It is interesting, though, to see how anti-lawsuit American sentiment is. This man was asking for insurance coverage–not some insanely large payout, just medical treatment–from his employers to help with a fractured vertebra, *clearly* treatment that would allow him to return to work more quickly. Americans have a tendency to see lawsuits by private citizens as immoral cash grabs rather than ways to secure necessary help, often in order to be able to get back to work.
A relic of the 80s idea that only profit matters.
I see this becoming a very well paying trend.
Unlike before, it’s the richest people who have GM’s longest commutes now.
