This is how it is in the country where I live. There are display cases but you have to go up to the counter and ask for something. It’s just not a big deal for us. But I guess if you are not used to it, it can be frustrating.
On the other hand… maybe it will help reduce packaging which could be a good thing.
This looks awful. For the workers and for people who like to shop at Walgreens. I admit I don’t go to one often, but when I do I rarely have any reason other than to poke around and find stuff
I can imagine most retail stores moving in this direction eventually. As people do more and more shopping online with store pickup, it becomes less useful to have the overhead of aisles of self service products. Stores eventually become just a pick up point.
