I am heavily pro-union, and pro-labour. But fuck this shit. This is regressive. Tipping needs to die. No way in hell I’m tipping at a fucking retail establishment.
Apple allowed them to unionize only as a publicity stunt, their union reps are probably hired by Apple itself to come up with this kind of stupid shit instead of doing their jobs.
So they manage to organize all the labor in the store, form a union, get to the bargaining table with Apple. They have all the power in the world to ask for better wages, better hours, healthcare, vacation…but nope, they want tips. Fucking lol.
