Good, now Twitter is useless for famous figures because they can be easily impersonated. Anything they say on Twitter can be claimed to be fake. I hope they stop using it, and news sources should no longer be able to “report” anything said on Twitter because it’s all officially anonymous now.

It’s important to remember Twitter only added verification in the first place because they were sued over impersonation.
So now not only are they getting rid of the thing that protects them from lawsuits, they’re making it infinitely worse than before.
