It’s a little ridiculous that they are putting this on the students & family. Failure numbers that high are an institutional failure, not individual.
In any other industry, the leadership would be fired. The school administration should be fired here as well. Not only for the failure to prepare students, but because there is no excuse for figuring this out so late.
Baltimore, MD is worse than that by a long shot. In 2021 or 2022, one kid had a gpa of 1.7 and it was the highest in the entire district. The district has over a dozen high schools. Tax dollars, teachers Unions and the department of education hard at work ensuring American’s HS graduates can only read at a 3rd grade level and have no math skills. Can’t see any downside to that. /s
