Read this without the pedo bit and it’s even more oniony.

    > A Seattle official who went into a fit of rage during a recent board meeting ~~and defended a convicted pedophile’s nomination for a board seat~~ is refusing to resign despite the program’s chief officer asking her to do so.

Gosh, if only everyone would resign when we ask them. We could solve every political problem we have in this country in 30 seconds, and give that anarchy a try!

That said, fuck this pedo and this wackjob defending him.

This is ridiculous. First, that lady needs to go, that was childish as hell.

Second, the fact that he’s a repeat sex offender is ABSOLUTELY relevant to being put into a position of authority/power.

Fucking hell that lady is incompetent.

    >*I don’t care if they’re a sex offender. I don’t care if they’re black. I don’t care if they’re indigenous. I don’t care if they’re a criminal. I don’t care if they’re coming out of jail or prison,” Colston said before again repeating that “everyone deserves housing.*

Is it just me, or does it sound a bit racist to refer to sex offenders, criminals, and ex-cons interspersed with “black” and “indigenous,” as if to object to a *pedophile* being on the board is the same as objecting to a black or indigenous person.

I get that everyone deserves housing (but not exactly that everybody who deserves housing is an appropriate choice for the board that makes the decisions), but thinking convicts and black people need to share space in that sentence is problematic.
