At some point these politicians need to be charged with intimidation and interference (or whatever the technical legal term is). If I started threatening my local DA about a case she was working on, it would go poorly for me. Same should apply to everyone.
It reminds me of this quote: Conservatives will always be with us. If conservatives become convinced that they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy.
Only in this case, if they become convinced they are subject to the laws of our justice system, they will reject the justice system.
It’s actually fun watching these dipshits trip over their own feet. This is the GOP’s opportunity to get rid of Trump and the leadership is working hard to make sure that doesn’t happen.
I’m going to laugh next year when the presidential primary is an absolute clown show; and either Trump wins and loses in the general or he loses and spitefully sits on a giant pile of campaign cash, refusing to help during the general and telling his cultists to stay home on election day.
“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.” —Frank Wilhoit
Francis Marion Wilhoit (April 24, 1920 – June 9, 2010) was an American political scientist and author, who was the Thomas F. Sheehan Professor of Political Science at Drake University.

Republicans consider Trump to be above the law. They spent the last decade shouting “Lock her up!” and now pretend to be *aghast!* at the idea of a politician facing criminal charges.

I’m willing to bet that he didn’t state what the crime would be.

I mean, that’s what fascists do, right? Arrest anyone who tries to hold corrupt leaders accountable.
Make no mistake, this is the republican party. They will do or say anything to protect their corrupt former President. He’s a criminal.

So much for his libertarian bs.

Heaven forbid that politicians be subject to the same laws as the rest of us.

Does anyone have Rand Paul’s neighbor’s address? I’d like to send him some appreciation and encouragement.

Law and order, limited government conservative wants to jail the DA for pursuing state crimes. Comb your hair and grow a brain, Randy
jimdandy19 says
So should Rand’s barber but we don’t always get what we want.
SableShrike says
Why, did the DA lie under oath about paying off a pornstar with campaign contributions?
shonka91 says
Weird, I think Rand Paul should be in jail for colluding with Russia. On Indepedence Day, no less.
