Everyone needs to c hill out. The Pope isn’t declaring gay people sinful. He is only referring to our elemental sexual being, desire and need for intimacy, touch, love, romance, and eroticism as being deserving of eternal punishment.
I don’t expect much from an organization that purports to derive its sense of morality from a 1800+ year old collection of texts, books, letters, transcribed oral histories, codecs, and other narratives which were supposedly given to a select group of people through devine inspiration, of not direct communication from an ancient deity or his human-hybrid son-self.
I’d say the religion needs an update but Christianity claims to have an unchanging dogma even as the historic record allows us to literally read and compare the changes in dogma, doctrine, practice, and belief over time.
Agree or disagree, this is pretty standard Catholic teaching: there’s nothing wrong with being gay, as long as you don’t fuck someone who looks like you naked.
Another monster heading up the Catholic Church. Your church denies gay people the right to marry, and then condemns them for being sinful.
Shame on you Francis, shame on your hateful and bigoted church.

This is probably the most forward thinking, progressive thing a Pope has ever said about gay sex. But for those who disagree, he is getting older.

It’s not even a gay or straight issue. Catholics believe any sex outside of marriage or not for the purpose of procreation is a sin
