Is this actual real crime in an era of decreasing crime rates or the imagined crime propaganda that Republicans and their press outlets are currently pushing?
“The shelves are inside the CVS store on H Street NE, where pictures of paper towel and toilet paper products line the shelves and there’s a buzzer-button shoppers press to summon a store clerk to retrieve the product …”
The theft takes place as they open the front door of the store and walk out without paying. How does the above procedure stop theft?
I gave up on the Walgreens and cvs near my house. Lock stuff up, whatever, but there’s never ANY staff around or free to unlock/fetch it. How am I supposed to buy it if I’m just wandering around looking at stuff I can’t touch? I feel like I’m in an empty showroom. Me and the security guards and the junkies dragging around like zombies, I’m out. I hope they go out of business.

Rising income inequality is the biggest threat to society we face today. Moire immediate even than climate change (though obviously related).
