I mean, to be fair, is it the dealerships responsibility to deal with this situation?
Seems like, at best, tesla Corp, but you don’t see them calling Chevy or Ford to clean up the mess of someone wrecking their truck. It might be “obvious” it’s teslas fault for making a shitty car, it’s not legally “immediately on them”
While tesla would be responsible for covering insurance costs, I don’t know what services anyone is expecting a dealership to provide
I don’t understand the problem. If say my Chevy burns down on the side of the road then I would first call the fire department to put it out. Then I would call my insurance who would call a tow truck to get it off the road and take it to either my house or a storage place.
In no situation am I calling chevy.
So, what did they expect tesla to do at this point? Call your insurance and let them work it all out.
I bought some salmon at Costco a while ago that I found had gone way off when I opened it. I called them and asked what I should do and they told me I had to bring it in to get my money back. The girl at the counter was not thrilled when I handed her 2 lb of rotten salmon.
Seems pretty fair, wouldn’t you want to look at the car to determine the cause of the combustion? Where else would you want it taken if not to one of your service centers?
A lot of tow trucks can’t service a car this severly damaged, but some would be able to. You’d think Tesla would offer to arrange such a service in good faith

Why didn’t they call a tow truck to transport it to the service center?
Seems like a no brainer. Was their plan just to leave it on the side of the road forever?
