To be fair, I have only watched two or three episodes of “The Office” in my life, and I’m certainly not going to watch progressive adult cartoon rehash of Scooby Doo, but the Mindy Kaling detractors are pretty insufferable. From all the comments I’ve read about her new show and her other projects, people seem to be unable to accept her for who she is as a person. She doesn’t need to be a role model for women or Indians, or whatever. She’s just an American actress.
She wasn’t the only one awarded and it wasn’t based off her most recent work, rather her career as a whole. Article says Bruce Springsteen, Julia Louise-Dreyfus, and Vera Wang were also awarded. Like her or hate her, you can’t deny that she’s had a cultural impact on the US.
It’s IndiaWest news. They’re proud of her accomplishments.
Just because anyone here in the states…or the world, disliked her for the Not Scooby-Doo, doesn’t mean she hasn’t succeeded and her culture shouldn’t be proud of her.

Who told Biden to give out this award? Are they trying to embarrass him?

There are three possibilities.
№1. He never saw it.
№2. He saw it but forgot.
№⁹3/4. He was paid or pressured into it for political swagger.

Now this is satire. The worst show of the decade, gets an award.

This is like 2 years ago and Mindy Kaling helped create The Office (US), arguably one of the most popular sitcoms ever
