iraq, under saddam, used to have an extremely effective system to deal with illegal drugs. they dug this big hole in the desert, shot the drug dealers, and put their carcasses in said hole. it was very efficient and didn’t consume any significant resources, unlike elaborate and costly legal, penal and rehabilitation systems embraced elsewhere. not a fan of everything else but i think he got this one thing right. its literally the only way you can win a war on drugs.
