Even if their policy doesn’t describe their requirements, a private business can refuse service for any non protected reason. So… dude may be right, but still won’t be flying soon.
His argument is that he can order a drink and food during the flight and not wear his mask while consuming those so it’s pointless to have to wear one at all. Whenever I have to take a drink/bite on a flight these days I just lower my mask for a split second to get it in my mouth and put it back on to chew/swallow. It’s not hard. Most flights are 2 to 3 hours. It’s really not a big deal.

I don’t think anyone asked for a demonstration and I don’t think anyone he demonstrated it to is able to change federal law.
He expected to get away with it. He didn’t.
Willingly breaking the law as civil disobedience to protest is fine, but it doesn’t mean you won’t get into trouble for it. I guess he understands that now.
