so hes basically under house arrest now?
How on earth is this supposed to actually work in practice, or did nobody consider that before handing down the sentence…
He was actually banned from standing behind or next to a woman he doesn’t know – not near to them like the headline says. As long as he doesn’t invade someone’s personal space or stand within groping distance, he should be fine.
the bobs are too tempting for this one.
He’s been charged with a Sexual Harm Protection Order, an explanation of what that is [can be found here.](https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/rape-and-sexual-offences-chapter-15-sexual-harm-prevention-orders-shpos)
He molested a child, so he’s been given one of these. As for how it may be policed, it’s probably not possible for it to be policed to the letter at all times, but should be re-offend and find himself breaking one of the rules (ie, the standing near women strangers example), it’ll effectively add 5 years minimum to that sentence.
He’s also got an 18 month sentence, and is subject to the SHPO for 10 years. He’ll also go on the [sex offenders register](https://www.stopitnow.org.uk/concerned-about-your-own-thoughts-or-behaviour/concerned-about-use-of-the-internet/get-the-facts/consequences/being-on-the-sex-offenders-register-sor/) which will also put him in more frequent contact with the police.
The article says the family or girl herself didn’t realise what was happening until the police grabbed him… So what the heck did he do to qualify as sexual assault?
Let me guess, Muslim incel who hasn’t assimilated Western society.
Women Who Know Him: “We don’t want him anywhere near us either!”
So he can stand near women he already abused?
Jailed for 18 months. That’s fucked up. How about jail him for 18 years? Might have less recidivism.
We should have this in the US
