It’s almost like boys like guns or something…
Sides, Lego would have gone bankrupt in the early 2000’s if they didn’t lean in to popular franchise (which, strangely enough, tend to have weapons in them).
In that same timeframe Lego added Star Wars, Marvel, and DC licensing. They also seem to including loudhailers as weapons in the Classic Space series (1978-1987), which was never declared a weapon (could be a scanner, laser drill, or whatever).
This just makes me want to gift a kid an official Red Ryder carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle.
Here i am thinking the last couple sets of lego i made are a couple of bonsai trees and flowers…
