When did the Republican Party suddenly become full of conspiracy theorist extremists? I remember being a kid in high-school in 08 and remembering Romney being this pompous corporation shill republican, but he seemed sensible. Now we have legitimate crazy fucking people who are no where near competent holding political office. It’s the strangest turnaround I’ve ever seen.
The Republican led Senate investigative committee members were clearly conspiracy theorists as well, given that they called the Trump campaign’s interactions with Russian intelligence services during the 2016 presidential election a “grave” counterintelligence threat.
