I thought it was for prescription drugs.
I’d get those from Mexico ( not that part) and dental work but tummy tucks can be problematic and sometimes you need multiple follow ups so I wouldn’t do that there unless I literally lived on the border.
That’s just crazy. Huge risks taken with both the criminal environment and the potential surgery. Tummy tuck would never be worth risking your life over.
I can’t tell if this is plain ignorance of the level 4 warning by the State Department or “It won’t happen to me” syndrome. I had a perk of a free Mexico vacation as part of a new job hire years ago and I totally refused it. I feel terrible for the families but this seems like it was totally avoidable.
This story is getting more and more strange and tragic every day. Call me naive but I am shocked that FOUR people in that vehicle all agreed that medical tourism, in MX with conditions on the ground being so precarious was a good idea. I mean, the cartel violence even spills over into resorts. You’re going to roll up on them for a tummy tuck and they’re just going to let you pass?

>free Mexico vacation
I’d rather go to an amusement park like Six Flags.
