I stumbled upon the Animaniacs’ Nations of the World song earlier and realized I don’t even know where half the countries on the song are on the map!
Any tips, apps, or websites that you can share to help me learn?

IntotheMystic09: Watch Geography Now! on youtube. He goes through all the countries in alphabetical order and gives a brief summary of each. It has helped me a lot! Also, you could buy an atlas.
Cthulhujesusfish: Hello! I love trivia and quizzes, so I’d recommend using these two sites:
Lizardpoint.com
Sporcle.com
Lizardpoint has quizzes for all continents, and you can choose different modes (practice, test, strict test), and it makes it a lot easier to learn the countries.
Sporcle has a geography category, and there’s a lot of variety in quiz types (example: if you don’t want to click the countries of, say, Europe, then you can find a quiz to type them all). It also, in my opinion, made learning countries a lot easier.
I’d also recommend choosing a continent and focusing on that until you feel confident. Then, choose another continent and repeat until you’ve learned them all. You’ll probably need to refresh your mind on the continents you’ve previously learned in between.
I learned the world map by starting with Europe, then the Americas, Africa, Asia, Oceania in that order. I don’t think that’s the easiest way to learn them, and that probably depends on the person.
I personally would recommend doing them in this order: South America, North/Central America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania. South America is probably your best bet to start with, it only has 12 countries. North America is a piece of cake (there’s a great mnemonic video for Central America out there). Etc…
Anyways, I think I’ve probably rambled enough. Good luck OP! Geography is such an interesting subject, and learning more about it is quite rewarding. 😀
