> The girl, who has not been named, was jet skiing with her friends when she spotted a pod of dolphins and tried to swim with them, ABC News (Australia) reported. Instead, she found a shark that bit into her leg.
So she jumped into a cluster of fins she saw sticking out of the water? Or were they actually dolphins evading the shark that got her?
To be fair to the girl, it says in the article that it is unusual for sharks to be near that particular part of the lake. And it looks like that area is a pretty popular spot for water sports and activities.
The spark had likely followed the dolphins, most likely to catch what they were hunting, and it confused the girl for its target.
I can’t say I blame others for not jumping in to help her. Just a shitty situation all around.
