Teacher provides multiple lessons in real life. The kids will be much the wiser and the teacher will get a better job in a school in a state where they value education.
Florida wants to arm teachers, doesn’t it? Regardless, this feels like it should be the start of a discussion, not swept under the rug with a pink slip.
Teacher failed to pretend that “active shooter drills” are perfectly normal. These weren’t fragile little kids. They were 11th and 12th graders in a psychology class. Florida is eager to become an educational desert.
Before people go off to war they write a letter to their family in case they don’t return. I don’t see this being much different particularly if gun laws don’t change.
I was teaching English at a uni in China and had the students write a coming out letter (from anybody’s perspective) one time as an assignment. They really enjoyed it and most of them were roasting me as the person coming out. I asked them once to describe the color yellow to a blind man and I forget the others, but it was just a creative exercise. I could never imagine assigning some shit like that.

I guess pivoting into a job as a trauma counselor is out of the question.

Since we’re not going to regulate guns the least we can do is prepare the children for death.

This is truly stupid, since the children have active shooter drills periodically it makes sense that they would have already written them before this.

Well it’s that or gun laws, and Puss in Boots sure as hell isn’t going to make any gun laws.

I know it’s illegal to secede and all, but can the rest of the country secede from Florida?
