Daily reminder to read the article. While I’m still not happy about it, they are not removing Anne Frank’s diary. Just a graphical adaptation that they found had some themes they didn’t enjoy; nude statues and some lines that differed from the diary.
Read the article. They’re banning nudity or a reference to nudity. I haven’t seen the book myself but it sounds like a prudish decision. To be clear: this is apparently not about censoring Anne Frank or the holocaust (this time).
I’m more concerned about the 250 books they’re looking to ban. People with too much time on their hands given too much power, sounds like an overbearing HOA.
Neo republicans are at it again, abusing the loyalty of people for a party no longer existing to commit acts of facism.
Any remotely sensible republican voters reading this, the Republican party you are voting for now is NOT the one you voted for 10 years ago, its a sham that has taken over the old parties name and reputation. They are not fighting for freedom, they are fighting to make themselves your permanent rulers. Your grandparents would turn in their graves seeing what has become of the republican party, and american politics.

Teaching by example? All they need to do is burn the books to show exactly how the Nazis did it.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if they burned them after. I can’t stand living in Florida.

I’m not saying that this is a prime example of what Nazis would do, but it sure does look like it!

WHY
Is this true?
Then you can’t have any historical books at all
If you’re afraid of offending people.

This was one of the most important reads of my life. I’m grateful I read Anne Frank and Elie Wiesel as young as I did.
It’s beyond disgusting this is being taken off shelves *anywhere*, and very telling.
