According to the one guy, a car came on his property driving erratically, drove at him, ran over his foot, and then drove at him again, at which point he started shooting. If that were true, I could see him being justified in shooting if it actually seemed like the car driver was trying to kill him.
The driver and a neighbor said the driver just pulled into the wrong driveway and didn’t start driving erratically until the guy pulled the gun, which would also be understandable. In that case, I could also see the driver trying to hit the guy with the car.
Now, with no evidence, I imagine reality is closer to the driver’s story. They pulled in the wrong driveway, dude pulls a gun because he sees two black teenagers, they freak out and scramble to get out of there. Maybe they ran over his foot on the way out (or more likely, just got too close to him) but I don’t think that was before the shooting.
Do not go to Florida unless there is an imperative reason that you must. And if you must, do not approach any home unless you are absolutely positively definitely certain that it is the right address. I know this may sound paranoid but a paranoia of caution is better than paranoia with guns that is blessed with stand your ground legislation.

This account sounds bogus. If it’s not then proof is no doubt available that the car ‘ran over his foot’.

Guns and cars, cars and guns. Drive on my foot and I’ll shoot at your car. Call the police with their guns and cars, they’ll sort it out.

Well, then I guess he better not pull into my driveway without permission.
