This is a literal example of what it means to live “on the wrong side of the tracks.”
The company and the rural Republicans who hold the majority in most of the mentioned states, including Indiana, don’t care because it just impacts a bunch of n—–rs and s–cs, and those are real Americans.
Note: this is a criticism of the company and showing how they see these kids as less than.
The town should just block the train from moving. Hold the train hostage from moving. Flip the tables on the rail company.
this is my hometown. couldn’t tell you how many times i was late to school because of a stopped train…
The town should start arresting the engineers for creating a public nuisance and any other charge they can come up with. The town might not be able to sue the company directly because the law is fucked, but the company would have to figure things out in a hurry if their workforce kept winding up in jail.
I’d be back home propped up in bed reading comic books.
