Train companies should be forced to pay for underpasses and pedestrian crossings if they’re gonna block the crossings constantly. They do that up here in Minnesota and North Dakota all the time.
Happens in my town all the time, three tracks run through it at convergence point. Combine that with a lift bridge and it’s hell. I have to do it at least a couple times a month. It sucks but so does standing there waiting for hours.

Yeah, but the railroads got congress to put down their strike and then did more stock buybacks than employee raises so it’s a win win.
