If you look at the other half of the road in the video you can see the rest of the “trench” is already filled in. I’ll bet they got started and had to stop because of the rain/wet conditions. There should have been a cover or a type of temporary fill regardless. I’m always surprised the media never reaches out to the local council person when these type of issues come up.

Am I crazy in thinking that an active service trench should be marked in some way? At least that’s how my backwater state does it.
