The lady was on the phone with the department and following their SOP for finding a safe location to pull over when the 27 year veteran of the department initiated the PIT.
And yet “In a statement sent Friday afternoon, ASP noted that Dunn, a 27-year veteran of the agency, remained an active trooper in the Highway Patrol Division.”
Look, if she didn’t want an officer to act in a manner that may have taken her life, or the life of her child, then she shouldn’t have made a lane change without signaling.
I watched the video shortly after the incident happened. It was clearly a reckless and unlawful use of force that could have killed the woman and the cop. Cops continue to behave in lawless ways and get away with it. It won’t stop until qualified immunity, a judicial creation, is eliminated or scaled back severely.
