“Prime members also have exclusive access to benefits from Amazon Pharmacy, including RxPass, which lets members get as many eligible medications as they need for one flat fee of $5 per month and have them delivered free to their doors in two days or less, and Prime Rx, which helps members save up to 80% on prescriptions when not using insurance at Amazon Pharmacy and over 60,000 pharmacies nationwide”
So Amazon can make better pharmacy deals than the US government. Ok.
One Medical has existed for a while and then Amazon bought it. I’ve had my PCP/gyno at One Medical for about 5 years now. I’ve paid $200 a year to be a member and that paid for access to telehealth services plus in person doctors appointments. I loved the telehealth service because I could get basic medication (UTI, nasal spray, etc.) prescribed to me and not have to pay for the doctors appointment.
It says that since I’m already a One Medical member and a Prime member, I can get the $100 a year amount, which is nice. I’m still anxious to see what is going to change now that Amazon bought it.

Will it be as rife with counterfeit as the rest of Amazon? Does it only connect you to Dr. Nick?

i’m not american but curious how american health insurance companies could respond to this…

So, we don’t need to have our own insurance for this? Just pay 9$? And I get unlimited doctors visits online?

I believe most insurance now offers something similar for “free”. But I suppose it could be of value to those who do not have it for whatever reason.

is One Medical going to be like a side hustle for doctors? “I’m bored I think I’ll pick up an hour or two of virtual consults..”

– >Get a care team on call for everyday concerns, chronic conditions, and more for only $9/month.
– >One Medical accepts most major health insurance plans
Well, which is it?
I am failing to see the benefit here.
From all I see, it’s just another random clinic that bills your insurance. Except you waste $9 a month on top of that?

This has been a available for a bit. I used them earlier this year for an infection I had. Got the exact correct type of antibiotics.
Was nice not having to wait for an appointment or sit in an office for 2 hours.
I’m physically handicapped so the service was convenient.
Cheers all
