> State Rep. Kerri Seekins-Crowe, a Republican, suggested during a floor debate that she would rather risk her daughter dying by suicide than allow her to transition. **Seekins-Crowe did not say that her daughter identified as transgender, but said she was “one of those parents who lived with a daughter who was suicidal for three years.”**
Having said that this woman sounds like a real piece of work.
I have dealt with a child went through this for a few years. I understand and agree with her view. Today my child is glad we said they had to wait till older.
“Someone asked me if I would do anything to save my [suicidal] child’s life…..No, I wouldn’t…..because I should not cave to my child’s emotional manipulation.”
Imagine knowing as a child that your parents would prefer that you were DEAD rather than take a chance on being anything other than “normal”… In a few years, queer children, children of anti-vaxers, etc., will have a wealth of tales to share.
The child may very well be more likely to commit suicide if they transition. It’s a fallacy that transitioning will be the answer to any deep routed mental health issues.
Yeah, I would too. People willing to let children have life altering surgeries or take life altering medications are not compassionate, they’re insane.
LOL…although the hair is a dead giveaway that this woman will always ask to speak to the manager, there’s so much more going on:
1. the silicon injected lips,
1. the pint of botox covering every square mm of her face, and
1. the ridiculous, surgically enhanced raptor inspired eyebrows.
If she were prevented from having any more elective, cosmetic work done to her face, she’d attempt suicide. I don’t know why she holds her daughter to a different standard.

She didn’t suggest it. She said it.

Don’t trans people still have the highest rate of suicide even after a transition? Maybe it’s a mental health thing?

I don’t see the onion-like nature of this post. Everything in there squares with reality as we know it.
