Honestly some people need this I can tell you that
When I was a kid they used to throw “chicken pox parties”. When one kid got it we all had to go play at their house. We don’t have to do that anymore because *surprise!* there’s a vaccine for that

Forgive me if I’m wrong but, don’t Covid antibodies from getting the disease not even last that long? I know a guy who’s gotten it twice, and I’ve read articles about it somewhere else. I’m pretty sure that’s the case with this.

Honestly, I considered it. For about 5 minutes. Then I figured- Shit, I have made it this far…Lets see if I can just avoid it forever.
I am triple vaccinated and have Omicron right now. I have worn KN95 masks nearly everyday since early 2020. It has been a nightmare of painful joints, fatigue, foggy thoughts, coughing, and headaches. That said, I have not had trouble breathing and am very grateful that the vaccines have kept me out of the hospital.
I saw this article a couple of days ago, and it pissed me off. Granted, Covid has made me inexplicably weepy, but this article made me feel simultaneously scared for myself and very guilty that I might infect someone else if I end up needing help. I am going to use an expression that I have not used once during the pandemic: this is pointless fear mongering.
I had it over the holidays and a couple people suggested they’d come over and get it over with while they had time off I was like wtf no I’m not letting you inside my house
Reason #1: Because that’s a stupid idea.
